Besides Pflegegeld, there are other benefits (as of 2026): the Entlastungsbetrag (131 euros/month) can be used for care services. For Verhinderungspflege, when you yourself are unavailable as a carer, there are separate funding pools. Costs for home modifications can be subsidized by up to 4,180 euros. Care costs are also often tax-deductible.
