A live-in caregiver lives in the care recipient's household during their assignment. They help with personal care, prepare meals, accompany to appointments, and provide companionship. They're available at night if something happens.

Important: they still have the right to rest periods, free hours, and a private retreat. A caregiver is not a nurse who never sleeps. They provide everyday care and support. Medical treatments like wound care or complex medication must be handled by professionals. An assignment usually lasts several weeks.
