Onboarding and Handover

Take enough time for the first days.

Take enough time for the first days. Ideally, prepare a brief written overview with the most important info beforehand: daily schedule (wake-up times, meals, bedtimes), medications (which, how much, when, where stored), emergency contacts (family doctor, relatives, CAIR support), household equipment (stove, washing machine, care aids), and special habits of the care recipient.

It doesn't have to be perfect. But it helps enormously to make the first week more relaxed.
