The First Meeting
The first meeting between the care recipient and the caregiver is a special moment.
The first meeting between the care recipient and the caregiver is a special moment. Plan it calmly and without rush. Introduce the caregiver warmly and give both time to get to know each other. It's completely normal if the care recipient is reserved at first.
Give the adjustment at least a week. If no connection has formed after two to three weeks, address it openly. CAIR support is happy to help.
