CAIR Box Terms

1. What is the CAIR Box?

The CAIR Box is a monthly delivery of consumable care aids for home care, for example disposable gloves, surface and hand disinfectant, bed protection pads, face masks and protective aprons. The exact contents may vary depending on need and availability.

2. Requirements

You can order the CAIR Box if the person being cared for meets the following requirements:

a recognized care level (1 to 5),
care provided at home (not full inpatient care),
statutory or private long-term care insurance in Germany.

Without a recognized care level, there is no entitlement to the statutory care-aids allowance.

3. Cost and coverage

People in need of care with a recognized care level are entitled to consumable care aids under Section 40 (2) SGB XI. The care insurance covers a monthly allowance of up to 42 euros for this. As long as the cost of the CAIR Box does not exceed this allowance, there is no co-payment and no additional cost for you.

If the allowance is not covered, or not covered in full, by the care insurance, we will inform you before any further delivery. You will not incur any cost without your prior consent.

4. Ordering process

You order the CAIR Box in the CAIR App and confirm the details of the person being cared for.
We handle the application and processing of the cost coverage with the responsible care insurance. For this we need the required details and, if applicable, a declaration of cost coverage.
Once approved, you receive the CAIR Box monthly at the delivery address you provided.

5. Term and cancellation

The monthly delivery runs until you cancel it. You can cancel the CAIR Box at any time to the end of the current month via the CAIR App or by messaging our support. There is no minimum term.

6. Right of withdrawal

Please note that you may have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer. We will provide the details on withdrawal with the order confirmation.

7. Role of CAIR

CAIR organizes the order, the processing with the care insurance and the delivery of the CAIR Box. Whether and to what extent an entitlement exists depends on the rules of the respective care insurance. We strive for reliable monthly delivery but cannot in every case guarantee delivery times and the availability of individual items.

To process the application and the delivery, we process personal data of the person being cared for and the person placing the order. You can find details in our Privacy Policy.
