Who am I actually signing the contract with?

You sign the contract directly with the caregiver or the sending agency, not with CAIR. CAIR only provides the placement and payment infrastructure. Who your contractual partner is will be clearly shown to you during the booking process.

Question 2

How many hours does the caregiver work per day?

Accepted Answer

The caregiver works a maximum of 40 hours per week, typically between 09:00 and 17:00. They are entitled to at least 60 minutes of breaks per working day. After finishing work, an uninterrupted rest period of at least 11 hours applies. This is therefore not around-the-clock care.

Is nighttime care also possible?

Between 22:00 and 06:30 there is generally no obligation to provide services. Nighttime assignments are only possible by explicit agreement and against separate remuneration.

Question 4

What do I need to provide for the caregiver?

Accepted Answer

You provide the caregiver with free, lockable and clean accommodation with access to a kitchen and bathroom. You also ensure adequate meals during the assignment and a safe working environment.

Question 5

What happens if the caregiver falls ill?

Accepted Answer

For absences of up to 3 days, your payment obligation is suspended for that period. For longer absences, the sending agency is obliged to provide a replacement within 5 working days, if contractually agreed. If no replacement can be provided, the payment obligation is suspended for the entire absence.

Can I cancel a booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before the booking start. For cancellations between 7 and 30 days in advance, 10 percent of the booking amount applies; under 7 days, 30 percent. The exact conditions will be transparently shown during the booking process.
